I began with Spark People in 2012 while working on a fitness challenge. It's 2013, now, and I'm hoping to get back on track. since being away from SP for 6 months! I have simple goals: Clean eating. Exercise. Happy state of mind. In my weight loss experience, I have typically pushed too hard because I know I can. I have been a dancer my entire life, and I received my B.A. in Dance in 2011. I began SP in 2012, but have been off-and-on. SInce 2013, I have broken both my foot and my wrist (at the same time), and lost my full time job. No more than 15 weeks later, I was offered a full time dance teaching position. I am thrilled that life has pushed me in this direction. I believe in faith. Eventually, I want to get my masters in Dance Education. For now, I am training and teaching 15 classes per week! When I was much younger, I developed a love for exercise. I had a simple schedule that kept me in a weight range of 135-145. The older I became, the harder it was to choose healthy options. I started drinking and partying more, and using that "exercise time" to pre-game. I wouldn't say it was abnormal, but I definitely lost sight of the 15-25 pounds I easily put on. Here i am at 24 years old, and I'm beginning to stabilize my personal and social lives yet AGAIN!

My Goals:
My goals are to begin my professional dance training so that I may get into graduate school. I want to find the motivation to not only achieve my goals, but become more fearless day-by-day. So this year- I bought a mountain bike! Bring it on!
My Program:
Doing this the healthy way, no punishment zone. Battling disordered eating, and treating my body right. I no longer look at my body and "hate" what I see. 90 or more fitness minutes per week. Weight training 2-3 times a week.
Personal Information:
Things I love: not taking myself too seriously, big texas hair, being unashamedly tipsy, wine, concerts and festivals, dancing & choreography, vibram 5 finger shoes, Mad Men, the mountains, quoting Liz Lemon.
Other Information:
Check out my blogs for my story, inspirations, and more. I would love to have a support group via SP!
