Run Baby Run!
A few months after the birth of my firstborn in February 2010, I found myself in a rut. Despite numerous assurances from other folks that it would just sort of magically fall off, some of the extra weight I'd put on during my pregnancy had stuck around, and I was at a loss for what to do. I just never seemed to have time to exercise even being a stay-at-home mom to a little baby. But somewhere along the way, I realize something... I had to MAKE time for exercise. I started with exercise videos and the occasional walk outside, until finally I decided to tackle something I never thought I'd be able to do because I just wasn't built for it... RUNNING, and have yet to look back. As I spend the majority of my day just chasing two young kiddos around, I just yearn for a sense of routine. Trying to get back to where I left off in May 2011. One day at a time.

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." --- Marilyn Monroe "Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired. When you were younger the mind could make you dance all night, and the body was never tired...You've always got to make the mind take over and keep going. " --- George S. Patton, U.S. Army General and 1912 Olympian
