I am 35 years old and have two children.

I was normal weight as a child and active. I gained weight in college and then lost a good bit of weight which I gained back in graduate school. After I was married and several life stressors and some good new habits (quitting smoking) I had gained another 20 more lbs for a grand total of 204.

I decided to make a change and with my husbands support on my own I made lifestyle changes and lost 41 lbs. I kept that weight off for over 5 years then got pregnant with my first child. I took this as license to eat whatever I wanted. After pregnancy I was in the 190's and over 9 months lost to about 5 lbs over my goal weight using weight watchers and going to the gym.

I then had a miscarriage and gained 10 lbs and then got pregnant with my second. I ended that pregancy at 220. February 06 I started weight watchers again and up until a couple of weeks ago I had lost 50 lbs. I want to get to 165 again.

But this time it has been a lot more about trying to improve my health and improve my body image. Now I have a daughter and there is more garbage then is possible to believe in the meida and our world that will make it hard for her to love herself. I don't want to add to that by hating my body. No matter what I weighed before I hated myself in pictures and often felt fat - well since High school. I thought this time around what would it be worth if I was just going to be unhappy no matter what my weight. Now I can even look back at pictures taken a year ago when I am a good 30 lbs heavier and think hey I don't look so bad.

I started running this time too and ran my first 5 k in May 07. I love running and love having my foucs be on training and fitness rather than calories burned and weight loss. I have a harder time with good eating though and am trying to incoporate more healthy eating rather than just low calorie for weight loss.

Be able to do 15 "true" pushups


My Program:
I have been doing weight wathcers on-line since Feb 06.
I run 3 times a week and
weight train 2 times a week. I currently do videos for weight training but I am not satisfied with the results. I am thinking of starting with a personal trainer to really help me get to my goal in the next few months.
