Better off than on!
Update: Still trying to shed 15 pounds! I have moved on to utilizing the Lyn-Genet Plan to determine what foods are not good for me. I have been Vegan for over 5 years and Vegetarian for 23 years. Update: Still trying to shed 15 pounds! I have moved on to utilizing the Lyn-Genet Plan to determine what foods are not good for me. I have been Vegan for over 5 years and Vegetarian for 23 years. I do not eat processed foods so when I read "The Plan" by Lyn-Genet it really spoke to me. What healthy food was I eating that was not healthy for me? Old: Determined to drop 20. I had been a smoker for over 20 years. When I quit, 5 years ago, I put on 10 pounds. I have always been a hiker. See a mountain - hike a mountain! However, I always have struggled with my breathing. So, I started running 4 years ago. Since then I have done 3 marathons, 1 ultra, and several 5ks, 10ks, and 1/2's. I still struggle with my breathing. I am determined to lose this extra 20 (or so) pounds and improve my breathing! I am in this journey with my daughter who is a senior in college. Together we will be losers!!!!! My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to be able to run or hike, AND breathe as the same time. My next measurable goal will be to run a marathon in under 5 hours. I would like to reduce my debt, slowly but surely.
My Program:
Run nearly every day - slow and steady wins the race! (or at least finishes it) Track food and fitness every day. Drink at least 10 cups of water a day. Moisturize often!
