A LITTLE BACKGROUND ABOUT ME
I graduated from UT at Austin about 3 years ago and am working in Houston, TX (my hometown). I was once 198 lbs, but through diet and exercise, I got down to 146 lbs in college. Getting adjusted to the new work/life balance thing has been a challenge. So much of a challenge that I gained 40 lbs. I have been managing to eat healthy during the week and am now in the upper 170s/ low 180s. I am hoping to get down to 150 - 145 lbs and maintain it. I do enjoy ...

I do enjoy jogging, shopping, going to church, and spending time with my family and true friends and my fiance.

My Goals:
Shortterm Weightloss Goals:

Apr 1st: lose 5 lbs
May 1st: lose 15 lbs
June 1st: lose 25 lbs
Jul 1st: lose 35 lbs
Aug 1st: lose 45 lbs in total


Longterm Weightloss Goals:

- Do 40 - 60 min of cardio a day (5 days a week) - INSANITY workouts
- Do pilates (buns, thighs, abs) 30 min a day (5 days a week)
- Eat less than 1300 cals a day (low fat, low sugar)
- Eat more veggies and fruit
- Eat more lean meats
- Eat less bad carbs
- Drink at least 64 oz of water a day
- Get to 145/150 lbs by beginning of grad school in Aug 2010
- Maintain a weight of 150 lbs +/- 5 lbs
- Lose more body fat and gain muscle
- Feel more confident about my body
- Stop eating for no reason
- Stop eating for emotional reasons
- Stop eating junk in the middle of the night
- Wear my short skirts again
- Wear a bikini with no apparent fat showing

My Program:
I am currently eating a lot of grilled/baked meals and plenty of vegetables and fruit. I eat desserts and fried foods only 1 weekend per month. I do my best to keep track of my caloric or points intake, while staying around 1200 calories or 25 points, 20 - 35 grams of fat, 60+ grams of protein, and under 200 grams of carbs with as much fiber as possible. I am also doing my best to maintain the following:

- Cardio at least 3 - 5 days a week - INSANITY workouts
- Drink at least 64 oz. of water per day

Trying Insanity Workouts and hoping it WORKS OUT!!! : )

Wondering which is better... P90X or Insanity? Guess I just have to get started with something, eat right, and stay consistent.
