Due some health issues and scheduling conflicts, I'm getting back on track so that this year I can declare success in achieving my weight loss and fitness goals.

In 2009, I lost 30 pounds thanks to the SparkPeople resources and community. Though I've managed to gain some of that weight back, at least I know that I can do this!

So this is my re-ignited pledge, my promise, "to make healthy and positive choices so that I can live a healthy lifestyle and reach my goals." (from the SP membership card)

My Goals:
* Drink 8 glasses of WATER a day and track my food daily.

* Follow the ddpyoga nutritional guide and exercise schedule (yoga 3 times a week)

*Be CREATIVE. Integrate my creativity into a healthier mind set and into my activities.

*Be THANKFUL, Be STRONG, Be CONFIDENT, Be POSITIVE.


My Program:
Plan meals ahead of time - allowing for leftovers to have healthy, satisfying lunches at work. Exercise at least 3 times per week. Track my food and activity. Keep my momentum going through trying new recipes and activities. HAVE FUN!



Personal Information:
Happily married with lots of pets living in FL. No kids yet. I consider myself a creative, positive and artsy/crafty individual. I work full-time.

I enjoy - animals and nature, writing, reading, art crafts, gardening, video games, Japanese culture/food.

I can't stand - being bored, spicy food, lobster/crab meat and the thought of missing a pet/child. Eeks!

    S'mores are fun, and fires are cozy. I'm glad you found something to do in the cold weather. I had one day I went to be at 6pm because I could not get warm all day long. I have felt like a slug although I am exercising. I guess I need to push myself more. I miss y'all and hope to see you next weekend. I made my first batch of muffins-pretty good! emoticon

    I usually just make them plain. It's really pretty easy, you just put the rice in the molds when it's still rather hot (but not too hot to handle), press it down, and then open it up and drop it onto the plate.
    I usually wipe my molds down on the inside before use with canola/olive oil on a paper towel to keep it from sticking.
    Sometimes I also make riceballs with flavored rice, or even cheesy-broccoli rice-a-roni.
    I've heard that pickled plums are just awful, but I think I'm going to have to try them someday. :)
    The online store where I purchased my molds is now closed, but you can usually find them on eBay.
