Tracey's Journey in Weight Losses and Gains

My road took many turns in my 20s & 30s with yo yo dieting. I vowed after losing weight and gaining double back for the 3rd time that I would never go on a diet in order to lose weight again. If I wasn't willing to eat healthy & exercise in order to get there, then I was going to stay where I was at. So I've been there for about 10 years now. And my son is having problems with his weight as well. I lost 50 lbs over a 4 year period through healthy eating & exercise, and then gained back 30 ...

I want my son to see a Mom with a positive 'never give up' attitude in life. That slow-and-steady wins the race. So I'm ready to re-activate by kicking my lazy butt out, getting rid of the addictive junk food and getting back to a healthy lifestyle.

My Goals:
I gave up Diet Sodas, and no longer care about them. I can do the same thing with high fat/high sugar junk food. Give it up for healthy choices. I want to lose 50 lbs by the time I turn 50 in September 2014!

My Program:
I'm working at rebuilding my program. Starting with Week 1 of new YOU Bootcamp videos. Listen to a motivating song each morning. Drink 8 glasses of water daily. Keep journaling every day in Spark People.

Personal Information:
Married 25 years in March 2014. Son 11 yrs old. Live in Texas and really don't like the hot summers...would rather be indoors than in the heat. I have had my own business since 1996. Work from home, so have a hard time putting myself first instead of my work.
