My Goals:
After meeting with my doctor, I have slightly changed my goals. He suggesed that I lose some weight and stop eating anything white (bread, rice, potatoes). He recently started me on diabetes medication and I absolutely do not want to digress to shots, so I have to lose the weight and get into shape!
My Program:
I have cleaned out my pantry, removing anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup or hydrogenated oils. I am trying the South Beach Diet, eating more fruits and vegetables, very few carbs, and logging everything I eat.
Personal Information:
I am a transplanted Texan now living in Virginia. I grew up in a very small town of 700 people (near Austin), but migrated to Virginia (love those mountains!) about 20 years ago - but I will always be a Texas girl at heart. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have six children and ten grandchildren.
