I am a 4 time triathlete but with Graduate school have not competed in several years and it shows. I just volunteered to help build a Habitat for Humanity home and have found a new passion that I hope to pursue more in the future. I am the single parent of a hight schooler and constantly striving to keep us eating healthy and staying active. thanks for the comments on my blog, here is the follow up to the blog you read. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_j

I'm so glad that you had a great experience last week with Habitat for Humanity, it is a great organization that helps people help themselves, that is what I love about it. Not only did you serve and help a family in need you also helped yourself, that satisfaction is the best.

Saturday, I attended and helped with a wall raising, one of the board members asked me two questions, is there somewhere that you won't go to build a home, you show up everywhere. And How many homes have you built and how many have you worked on over the years.

I will go anywhere to serve God,others, and myself. As for the homes, I quit counting 5 years ago after I had built 50 habitat homes and worked on over 300. That is not a brag, I should have never counted the homes but count the faces and smiles, they are more tangible.

This is turning to another blog. Thanks for the comment and good luck with your life journeys.

Randy
