After I had gastric by pass surgery in June 2007, I did great and lost 110 pounds in one year, now I have gained back 40 pounds of that. My plan is to get back on track, use all of the tools that I know I should be using, and reach my goal weight of 150 pounds by the end of next year.

My Goals:
1. Get back on track
2. Eat the healtyhiest food i can, every day.
3. Move as much as I can, every day.
4. drink as much water as I know I should, everyday.
5. Be the happy, healthy person I deserve to be.

I want to be a lot more active so I do not have lots ofextra "saggy" skin.
No batwings for me!

My Program:
I am eating 3 small meals with 2 - 3 small snack everyday, walking 4-5 days a week at least 30 minutes a day. Stength training at least 3 days a week.Bike riding on the weekend, along with swimming in the pool. Biggest challenge... remembering to drink enough water and stay away from the coffee that I love.

Personal Information:
I am a 59 year old married nurse. Work at a call center for a drug company in Frisco. I have two wondeerful grandsons, and two beautiful granddaughters that keep me young and active trying to keep up with them. My husband had RNY two years ago and has lost 160 pounds. he is a shadow of his former self and feels great! We love going out to eat, sharing one entree and taking home left overs!

Other Information:
I like to read, just don't ever seem to have the time. I spend too much watching Tv with my husband, as that is our only real time alone and together. I have moved my hand weights into the TV room, so I always try to do a few sets while watching TV and then I crotchet whilke I am watching TV so I am not totally wasting my time. Now we have ordered a wii fit so I am hoping to get him off the couch and playing with that to get in shape.

    Thinking of you and haven't heard from you in awhile. Hope you and DH didn't melt away in the TX sun;) Are you pushing that H2O?

    I'm doing much better. I had a slippin' slidin' July and after all was said and done I lost a total of 3 lbs. I need to kick it in gear to get the other 34.5 lbs off before years end. (my goal)

    I hope you are having a great day!! Very humid here in MI but I still managed to get my 30 minuets of walking in at lunch time and I must say it makes me feel good.
    I know for me a big part of the sucess is from having support from others that are in the same race you are hence the race to get fit and stay there.
    I havent lost any weight but I havent gained any so that's always good.

    Thanks for the fruit smoothie goodie! Yumm! I'm so happy you are doing great! I appreciate the encouragement too. I'm kindof down again. I get that way when the scale doesn't move. Hope DH is well. I forgot to ask about him but I'm sure he is great! We are having a break in the heat this week so it is nice! Hope you get one soon!

    Thanks for the note to my page. I agree with everything you said. If we knew the answers we wouldn't be here and we wouldn't have met. awwwwwwwww. Ok, enough sentimentality. We all have days, weeks, years, of goof ups. I wish I could bottle up this enthusiam I have and send it off to you. Just under the surface I have a little Debbie whispering, you can't keep this up much longer, you are going to screw up again... I just keep shutting her up by WALKING & drinking water til I want to puke:0 Sorry for the graphics but you're a nurse so you understand;) The point is I hope that if/when I do screw up I can talk to my SparkFriends and get back on track and not give up and wait another size or 2 before I do.....We have to look forward and not backward. I have to remind myself CONSTANTLY. You are better off not weighing if you've had a rough patch because knowing you may have gained might just be the last push to get you in real trouble. I hope this week is good to you! I hope DH is doing well. Please keep in touch!
