Hi, My name is Cynthia and I am a born and raised Texan.
In November 2004 I had the lapband procedure to help me gain control of my weight and what an awesome tool it is. I just have a MAJOR hurdle and that is retraining my eating habbits. I would say I am a picky eater for the most part. I do not like a lot of veggies, I have tried and tried but I cant do it! I really want to get my weight under control and live a healthier life because one day I want to have children of my own. I have been in a relationship for 2 yrs but we have known each other for about 7yrs. He does have a 5 yr old daughter whom we have most of the time. I would like to teach her good habbits so when she is older she will not struggle with weight issues. Weight has always been an issue in my life. I struggle with food choices daily even with the lap band. It is a tool and I am proven fact that the lap band works only if you work with it and use it properly. Using it properly is probably the hardes hurdle for me. At first its smooth sailing and than ultimatley you have to make Healthy choices and exercise must be a part of your life. I struggle daily with what to eat to loose, I struggle daily with exercise. I always seem to find an excuse NOT to do it, Its very hard for me to have self motivation to do the healthy eating and exercise.
I am looking for support, guidance, friendships that understand, and encouragement. My boyfriend is very supportive but its hard to keep him focused on my issue when he isnt overweight like me, it seems its not a bad thing if he skips out on exercise or eating Healthy.
