    Hey Aggie - how are things going with your C25K - unfortunately I've been a little scarce for the past few weeks on Spark people, but I've kept training and I finished my first 5K on May 3rd, 09. I've got some photo updates on my page. :) emoticon
    Sorry I haven't been a very good buddy for the past few weeks, I will definitely do better in the months to come! How are you doing on the C25K group and how is the knee pain? Any better or worse?
    I have shin pain and some knee pain - I've found it help me to run on a rubberized track and/or the dirt road by my house, I even do better on tar versus Cement... Cement is the REAL killer for me..

    Hey Mandie, I din't realize you love weight training.. yet ANOTHER thing we have in common! Before I started the C25K training I used to do 20 min on elliptical (I'm WAY better on mileage on that thing) and then 1 hour lifting weights. Quad press my favourite I'm up to 235 lbs easy for 3 reps of 10. 90 lbs for tricep pull downs! (my arms SUCK!) 90 lbs abductor/adductor machine, all 3 reps of 10. Doing 50 full bench situps followed by 50 crunches (including side crunches); also started the 100 pushup challenge (hence the arm issue as mentioned before )-I'm now up to 61 pushups max with time off between sets. (No more than 90 sec off). If you saw my post for the treadmill I still suck at week 2 day 1; but better. I ran for ten minutes! That's impressive for me as I've never done more than 6 min in a row! I THINK I might have gone more.. and freaked myself out a bit; but when I went for the next interval I was too wiped to kick it up again and couldn't go for more than 3 minutes at a time! But at least I've seen progress! But I haven't made 3 miles yet!
