I've always fought my weight but over the years I've been able to manage it better. I got active in bodybuilding 6 years ago and was in the best shape of my life. After a really tough break up I let myself go and no I want to regain my health and physique.

I wish the scale didn't matter but it does. I knew this summer was going to be challenging: I had a wedding in Ohio last weekend, I have a wedding in El Paso next weekend and my friend's having a baby within the next few weeks in Baton Rouge. This means lots of traveling, lots of opportunities to eat the wrong food and lots of disruptions of my schedule.

The first wedding kicked my butt. I over ate and then TOM came and I'm carring so much water my recent weigh in is probably off (or so I hope). I made it through the 4th without a hitch. I didn't eat clean but I didn't over eat. I'm not losing much weight right now but I can tell my body is changing. I took measurements today and I've lost several inches so I'm taking that as a good sign than my work is paying off even if the scale isn't changing.

I will put up my current photo when I get down to 190. I'm still too embarrassed to put it up now.

My Goals:
I want to get back into the shape I was in 5 years ago. I may not end up with as much muscle as I had but I want to be able to do 2 hours of cardio and not feel like I'm going to die. I want to be able to put on a bikini and feel good about myself. I just want to feel good about my body again.


My Program:
I am strength training 4-6 days a week as I'm adjusting to being back in the gym. I do one body part a day and try to train it pretty hard. For example I do chest one day, back the next, then I'll do legs, arms then shoulders and throw in an extra leg day if I'm up for it (my legs need the most work so they get trained more). I follow my strength training with cardio.
