Heather's Getting back in shape!

It's time to get back at it, eat right and get some exercise in everyday. I am doing this for myself, my daughter and my husband.

I also volunteer with a girls youth organization and I realize I am role model for those kids too. I need to step up my game and become fit and healthy for all the people in my life.

Thx for the blog comment! I love supporting Alberta companies - I'll definitely look for that cereal. Keep living the good life!

Hey there! Thanks for the comments on my page and the add the other day (yay Edmonton!). :) How is the bike training going??? That's awesome that you're doing the one in the fall. It's tough but it was a great experience.... I'm just waiting for my sprained ankle to heal (and the rain to stop!) and then I'll be back on the trails. :) Have a great weekend!

I saw your x-country photo and am wondering if you can give me some newbie x-country advice. I'm located in Edmonton and taking lessons on Sunday, then hoping to hit the trails once a week. Where are good places to go? Should I rent as a newbie or invest in waxed skis? Any advice and information would be so great.

Congrats on all your success to date - all the best success for 2011!

Sheryl

Hi - My name is Wendy and I saw that you are looking for a troop in Western Washington to do stuff with. . I responded on the GS page but it was a long time after your original post. . We are out of Kent, WA (about 20 miles SE of Seattle) and I have 10 girls - Cadettes (or age 13). They will be 8th graders next year. We have done the Mix It Up Encampment twice now (when it is in Canada) to mingle with our Girl Guides to the North. . They love learning about stuff up there. . They have also been talking about a day in either Vancouver or Victoria. . Please let me know if you are interested in trying to make this happen.. My troop is very busy this summer with a huge fundraiser (for a trip to Savannah, GA in summer 2011) but we love to plan things for the school year for weekend activities.

It doesn't matter how slowly you go, only that you don't stop. emoticon
