My ultimate goal is to lead a healthy life and set a good example for my kids so they don't have to go through the 'diet life'. My desire is to get down to my pre-baby weight of 120-130. Wish me luck!
I am seeing a Nurse Practitioner monthly for help. I am trying to eat a high protein, low carb, low sodium diet. I am going to Curves 3 days a week and trying to be more active at home. ST Goal: Be under 180 lbs (and stay there) ST Goal: Be under 200 lbs - DONE! (Uh oh, need to do this again!) ST Goal: break through my 190 plateau-DONE-need to re-do!!
My proudest achievements are my 2 children, one girl (12) and 1 boy (9). I'd love to be home with them full time, but you gotta do what you gotta do! And of course I love to spend time with my husband (married in 1996).
I am a certified (but not very experienced) peer counselor. I was trained through the Center for Women's ministries. If you would like to talk to someone I am a great listener. My areas of most expertise are dealing with stillbirth or miscarriage. And basic financial "counseling".
Hi I am from Making Me a Priority team and wondering if you are looking for a challenge?? Come join us in the April Personal fitness Challenge. I know it keeps me accountable on my fitness minutes. Tami
Hi there! I just joined the Emmaus team, and saw that you are with the Hoosier Hills community. I went on my walk in near Crawfordsville, IN, but I live here in Bedford and go to some of the community functions. I also have some very dear friends that are very active in that community. Anyway, I just wants to come by and say hello!!
Just dropping in to say 'hi' - hope your journey is going well. I've been laid up a bit (had surgery last week to correct a hernia) - so my fitness is on hold - but I've been pretty good with the nutrition and in a week's time, I'll be able to start a bit of cardio again. Baby steps. (Isn't it always?) Hope you are doing well!
