Half-Marathon, Here I Come!

Below is my introduction from a year ago when I joined Spark and changed my life. The title above will remain because it was a huge goal that I finally accomplished in October 2011.

I came up short of my 50 pound weight loss goal by about 14 pounds. I was going so strong and had an amazing summer, but I fell apart after my race and surgery this past fall.

So now I'm back. I've readjusted my weight-loss goal, now in pursuit of losing the last 14 plus some more! I also have my sights set on another half-marathon. I know that with your help and support I can do it.

(Original post--4/18/2011) I'm a 33 year old mother of amazing twin girls (15 months) and have been in an exercise rut, or rather stall pattern, since I was 4-months pregnant. I've been unhappy with my appearance and feel lousy. I am ready to drop the weight and start running again. I have 2 major goals--run my first half-marathon in October and drop 50 pounds by next April. Here I go!

The hm that I'm running is called "Escape from Prison Hill". It's a trail run through the mountains behind our state's maximum security prison emoticon
