I would say, that these last few years of trying to loose weight, and get fit, have been an exercise in self indulgent whining, where nothing is my fault reallyï¿½ï¿½..
A couple of years ago,I had some sort of epiphany. Star Wars was being watched again. Yoda quoteï¿½."Do, or do not do, there is no try." I needed to find out for myself, once and for all, if my very stubborn hypothyroid body could actually loose weight. For Real. If the answer was "NO" then I could move on to good health in other ways, knowing I had obtained an honest answer for myself.
With the encouragement of DD, I joined Weight Watchers. That "diet" is a very healthy fit for me all the way round. The weight is coming off, sometimes 2 oz. at a time. 2 years, 15 lbs. Long stretches of plateau. Oh well. So. It Can come off. Its just that I need to be so consistent, day, after week, after month.
-to stand up for myself and what I need for good health. No compromise.
-to challenge my self with sensible exercise
-to see if I can loose another 10-15 lbs after a time of maintaining.
-Aerobic and toning DVD's
-Saying yes to outdoor activities.
We live on the West Coast of Canada. Its really pretty here, I love the rainforests!!!!!!
I paint, and am learning to play the piano. I enjoy my photos and playing with all those iphoto toys.
Very happily married to my highschool sweetheart. 2 kids, 2 wonderful" in-law" kids, and 3 grand children.
