Yes, my sixth grade teacher should have been slapped, although she was good in another way -- introducing vocabulary by using words in the course o the day as much as during lessons.

The sweater that you left at three inches would have made a small doll very happy.

And thank you now for the yarn and needles. Such lively colors that I can use to knit something unsuited to the human form. Such a bad knitter am I and a great admirer of people who can do it well.

Twink, thanks for the bunch o' balloons. I'm glad you gave me the oppotrunity [recall that you also told me to go spell a word] to clarify a point:

"...you said you were a native new yorker......i don't believe this is possible....it is a known fact that no one actually grows up in new york...'

If I did say I grew up here, let me rephrase. I was born and hand have lived here forever, but I never grew up.

As to the "D" group, the members come in all stripes. Some are terrific and grounded and then there are the others. When one comes along and is way out there, I stay away. In general I'm opposed to the practice of human sacrifice, especially if a situation would leave me feeling like the lamb. It's important to know when to walk away.
