Chasing after a preschooler? Well, Darlin', that takes a lot of energy ... a hell of a lot of energy ! Still, I know quite well, from having baby-sat nieces and nephews over the years, it's real easy to get off the good health program wagon, so to speak, when you're having to fix food for so many hungry mouths. So easy to snack far more than we are ever aware of, until it shows up on the bathroom scale. Anyway, I remember so many times, after an exhausting day of babysitting, my husband commenting that I must have had fun getting to watch the kids all day ... As if it were a bloody picnic and not a JOB. Well, needless to say, I had to educate him right quick of just how exhausting a job it can be. Loved them all to pieces, mind ya, but Good Lord, it is WORK!!
So, I rattle on here to simply say, don't be beating yourself up! You are NOT a lazy cow, you're actually quite awesome!!! Watching those little precious brats all day, pleasssssse, do you really think that you would be doing more if you were on the treadmill INSTEAD??? No way! Treadmill would probably feel like a bloody vacation! emoticon
Speaking of vacations, 6 weeks??? That is fantastic! I say, don't worry about the bathing suit, just enjoy the heck out of every minute you might be able to get for a little "me time". You definitely need give yourself credit where credit is due ....... and you are due some, Dar;in'.
Now, I am also still off the food tracker, but, hey, it's summer emoticon whatever that EXCUSE is supposed to mean.
Anyhow, we will be OK. This is a journey NOT a RACE to the finish line.
Wishing you a very enjoyable vacation.
emoticon Sticking out tongue, cause I am not getting a vacation, myself, anytime soon.

MIA ... Ohhhh, I can so relate! The thing is, I have been here (well, except for being out of town for 5 days) ... BUT ... for all intents and purposes I have also been MIA.
Like, for some reason I have been off the nutritional tracker and can't seem to get myself back on track and I surely haven't been exercising. I have been weighing in each week on Thursday and after last Thursday's 2 pound weight gain, well, I'm not sure I want to see the scales tomorrow. I know this is just about the busiest time of the year for me and this year I am doing double duty taking care of my stuff plus my Mom's. I guess I am just stressing right now and after things lighten up a bit ......maybe I will too. emoticon
The spark is still in me, but it seems like a tiny ember at the moment.

Hey, Girlfriend, just wanted to stop by and see how you're doin'.
I completely understand the "crazy busy". It's like that here, too. Now, I gotta go out of town tomorrow with my Mom to attend a graduation ceremony and won't be back until next Tuesday. Being gone will just make things a bit more crazy busy when I come back, but not much I can do about it.
Weigh-in day, yesterday, showed a GAIN of 2 pounds!!! Like just what I needed! Anyway, it's all my own doing.
Oh well, I reserve the right to repent and turn over a new leaf next week. Hope you're 'doing' a lot better than me. Anyway, as for being crazy busy, have a glass or two of spirits and just hang in there and do what ya gotta do. It sucks ... but it's life.
Oh, and hope the next time ya 'see' me, you see less of me ... emoticon

LOL! So true! If we were neighbors, it would take a lot more than Spark People to get us on track! emoticon

LOL! As if me and your three-year-old would make it out of the driveway! Remember it's me we're talking about here ..... not the treadmill running maniac that you've allowed yourself to become! Still, I do like the idea of you staying home tomorrow drinking wine and eating bread. I think I, ... Ooooops, I mean, "You" deserve it. Maybe I could come over and me and your son could go out to the local bakery and bring you back some cupcakes and whatever else we think might bring you comfort.
Just know that, as always, I care .... emoticon
