49 year old music producer, father and grandfather with a family history of diabetes. Although I don't have it., Two out of six of my siblings do and my mom passed away from complications of diabetes. A lot of my time is spent in the seated position, in a darkly lit area working unconventional hours days at a time with not a lot of time for exercise. I lost hardly any weight the first month or so. Then it just started dropping off. If you are consistent, it will work. It has definitely been a process for me. I started off slow just walking three days a week. Then I joined a gym, and did cardio five days a week. Then I made my cardio challenging and a few later added weights. Finally, I started counting calories and wow, it has all come together. I give up if I feel overwhelmed so I started slow. Good luck!
