(Another) Re-Start

My black magic number is 40. Several times I have lost 40 lbs., and that seems to somehow trigger me to go back to my old habits. Maybe because I feel overconfident. Maybe because people have started to notice and I let my guard down. In this case it was a huge family crisis, but the tailspin continued.

My Re-Start date is December 2, 2013. I will call my "start" when I hit the 40 lb. mark. THAT is when my challenge kicks up a notch!

My Goals:
To build a healthy eating and exercise lifestyle that:
1) Is do-able
2) Is realistic
3) Is enjoyable
4) Has "buddies" to help
and
5) Is permanent

My Program:
1. Drink my water.
2. Exercise minimum of 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week, even if in two separate sessions.
3. Track my food intake.
4. SPARK!

Personal Information:
The "black magic" number for me is 40. I have lost 40 lbs. several times in the last 10 years, and it seems that is the turn-around-and- go backwards point for some reason. I did this on Spark. Lost 40 lbs, then hit a huge family crisis, and gave up (again). So I will consider my REAL starting point at my 40-lb. mark...only then will I "believe"!

Other Information:
I have in recent years started crafting...mostly crafts with nursing home residents, and crafting for community needs...stuffed bears, rag dolls, eyeglass cases for the poor...and things like natural bird feeders for local children's museum. Crafting is most fun when it's for others.

There's a lady today in the popular blogs who says she starts backsliding every time she loses 40 pounds. Now where have I heard that before?

It's sensational that you can do a two-fer. Nursing home and help the troops. Marvelous!

Have a warm and wonderful weekend.
