I'm a member of the Yurok Tribe in northern California. The Yurok were a hunter/gatherer society even halfway through the 20th century and those living on the Reservation still rely heavily on traditional foods. They are hard to get but are excellent sources of healthy nutrition, particularly when it comes to salmon and acorns, which are primary staples. Basically though, individuals from hunter/gatherer societies tend to be very energy efficient because there is less regularity of food availability and those who can survive on the least food prosper and reproduce while those who can't, well, don't.

This means that dieting is not going to do it for me. I can easily live off of 1200 Cal without losing significantly and so cardio exercise and muscle building will be the keys for weightloss and fitness.

My Goals:
I've updated my goals twice now, over the past two years. I have not met them, though I have progressed. My attitude in the past has been to set a deadline to shoot for. I suppose this time it will be to remain consistant, in exercise and healthy eating habits, and my body will respond in its own time.

My Program:
Exercise 6 days a week, cardio, strength training, or a combination, and one day of 30 min of stretching. Water, water, water.

Personal Information:
I'm working in my Tribe's burgeoning wildlife program which is very exciting to me as it gives me an opportunity to help restore creation to what it was meant to be. I am well content in life and am grateful I've been blessed in it.

Other Information:
Part of the purpose of getting fit for me is to be more intune with what's inside of me, with the eventual goal of increasing my connection to God through inspection of self. I was created in the image of God and to disrespect the body I was given is to disrespect Him. Personal fitness is to me a matter of honoring God through preserving what I was given.

so glad you stopped by. You will definitely be impressed with taking pics. It is so much better than getting on the scale. The difference is visible and the feeling is great.
