My Spark Journey

Hi, I am an 81 year old woman who has struggled with her weight her entire life. I live most of the year in Hawaiii, but spend the summer in Alaska and Idaho. I have been married for 61 years to a great guy...we.think we have a wonderful life. I play a lot of golf when I'm at home in Hawaii, and I garden, quilt a little, and read a lot! I have had both knees and both hips replaced, as well as fused discs in my back, but I am not letting any of that keep me from being active. I love to ...

Thanks for the bloglove on my Beck Diet Solution post. The book is truly worth the read, but you don't have to buy it. check it out of your library! emoticon the truth is - I am/was already doing much of what she suggests and at this point I haven't yet discovered anything I hadn't heard before. so MUCH of success in this weight and body effort comes when something inside you says "I'm ready". Well. I'm ready.

“Not to give up under any circumstances should be the motto of our life: we shall try again and again, and we are bound to succeed. There will be obstacles, but we have to defy them. So do not give up, do not give up!
Continue, continue! The goal is ahead of you. If you do not give up, you are bound to reach your destined goal.”
-Sri Chinmoy

emoticon & emoticon say Hi and Thanks for the bloglove on their post about the emoticon . Ain't it the truth that we love to blame our equipment when we ought to be looking at the operator. It's the same with our weight - A well stocked kitchen and a good gym are a great help but if we don't walk the walk - we're just going to sit the sit and get bigger and bigger. LOL. Thank goodness for our sparkfriends cheering us on.

emoticon Aloha
I love the beach, blue skies and water, and the fresh smell of salty air.

I have this quote downstairs alongside a tiny bottle of beach sand. emoticon You may know it. " To see a world in a grain of sand And a heaven in a wild flower: Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour." William Blake

I was thinking about how nice it might be to live where the sea kisses the shore and invites you to spend time listening to the sounds of the ocean, constant, but changing as change is constant. I hope you have a wonderful day! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
