I've been a yo-yo dieter for as long as I can remember. I just could never "get it together" like everyone else seemed to do. Finally the up & down fluctuation just stopped in the "up" cycle... *naturally... & stayed that way for the last 16 years.

Health issues have made me realize that I need to do something... & I need to do it now... or there may not be a "later". I have to do it for myself & for my family.

I just heard about this site on the Ellen ...

I look forward to utilizing the tools provided here... to forming a network of support, and finally to lead a healthier & more balanced lifestyle.

My Goals:
I'd like to improve my health & have more energy to accomplish all I have to do.

I'm trying to step outside of my comfort zone, & risk the unknown.

I'm looking for the Peace & Joy that comes from within, even during turmoil.

I would like to share hope with others who need it...
Because together we can accomplish anything!



My Program:
I'm tracking my food intake, water intake, & exercise output daily with this program.

I'm trying to eat foods that are fresh, natural, & organic. I'm trying to get more of my daily protien intake from non-animal sources.

I'm preparing most of my meals so I can control the amount of fat & sugar are in it.

I'm drinking more water.

I'm moving everyday... doing something toward my goal of being stronger & healthier. Combining stretching, strengthening, & aerobic movements.

I park further away from the stores & take stairs when I can, so I can meet my exercise goals.

I'm trying to find other ways to deal with dissappointment & stress besides turning to food.

So, Now let me see if I got this right? - Ummm you still have King Cakes, a Mardi Gras Wreath, and a poster of the Mardi Gras Ball? Hon, we're past easter, the crayfish are almost out of season, and I'm tapping my foot here sittin, waittin on ya, to come on back and play in the rain.

I know, I know you have to work, but can't ya play with me & Nan just a little? If ya see this - drop us a line, we have not had a "Tunia Sighting" in quite some time.
