"I Can't" means "I haven't learned how yet and I'm not going to try"

My name is Pat and I am retired from a full-time sedentary job (of 30 years).

I have been a fitness enthusiast for many years and have explored (and enjoyed) many different activities, including running, treadmill/elliptical work, weight training, figure skating, sychronized swimming, and some downhill skiing.

I recently rekindled an old love for horseback riding and hope to continue with and improve that.

My Goals:
To maintain current weight and fitness level - actually I hope to improve the latter.

I achieved my previous goal - to have my LBD fit as well February 2011 as it did February 2010. I was determined not to be one of those women who retire and gain 40-50 pounds ... I am not.

New goal: Continue to work toward better fitness level and improve my riding skills.

My Program:
Become a better horseback rider.

4-5 cardio workouts per week

Strength training at least 3 x per week.

Personal Information:
I live in small town Ontario, Canada. I share my home with my husband, a Timneh African grey parrot, one lovebird, and 2 cockatiels.

I have 2 wonderful adult children, one awesome DIL, and one brilliant, gorgeous, funny, charming, grandson. (and yes I'm totally besotted)

Other Information:
I am an avid reader, enjoy taking courses and have recently rekindled 2 old loves - quilting and horseback riding.

I have made many friends on SP and am so very glad I stumbled across the website in March/09.

Thanks, Pat, for commenting on my blog! I know, the building is really transformed, isn't it? It amazes even me and I have to say I couldn't imagine it, either. The flooring being in makes a huge difference. I have all the curtains hung now and am pleased with all of them. The house is very light and airy with views of fields and trees from every side. I love being out here in the middle of nowhere! We do have some good neighbors across the field to the west, they are about a 3 minute walk away but it is hard to see their house from here with the lay of the land and all the trees. emoticon

So good to hear from you, love your profile picture. emoticon

Thanks for the complements on my blog, Pat. I love the Tardis lights, too. Next time I go to England (2016, I hope), I plan on stopping by Scarborough and checking out the life-size TARDIS they have there. LOL

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for reading my blog. I'm getting braver with each project by trying more complicated patterns.
