It's real this time

I am 28 years old, 5'2" and starting this journey around 215 (ish) pounds. This is the heaviest I've ever been. For many reasons, I'm making the decision now to get healthy, and be at a suitable weight for a shorter girl. The goal is 80 pounds, hence the name.

My Goals:

Learn Yoga.

My Program:
On this journey, I will be relying on Spark to track everything that goes into my mouth, regardless of how many calories it may have in it.
I will also be using the Couch to 5K program to meet my goal of running.
To start, I will aim to eat more veggies, more fruit and less chips, cheese and chocolate.
And I will plan for now to make it to the gym at least three times a week.


Personal Information:
I'm a Memphis gal with a great life.
The weight is the one thing I must conquer. It's the one thing I've always struggled with in my life, especially in my 20s.
I'm a journalist with a fantastic boyfriend who motivates me to do 5 a.m. workouts, and a marvelous family who I love dearly and who wants to see me healthy.

Hey there, sorry you haven't heard from me in a while. Life has been crazy, good but crazy. Just got back from visiting family in Fresno, that's about 3 hours south of me. How are you doing?? I miss you!!

I'm having trouble too. I'd lost 8 pounds and I've gained back 6 of it. Right now I'm trying to get to the gym. Tracking food I think is out of the question, at least for a little bit longer. That's the part I really really struggle with.

How have you been?

I hear you. I did SOOOO BAAAAD the last week, I'm afraid to step on the scale! I'm getting back to it starting TODAY. I guess all we can do is keep on keepin' on.
