I have lost about 15 lbs this year (although this tends to move a little bit from week to week). I have plateaued but am so proud that I have managed to keep that weight off for 8 months! My present goal is to maintain through the remainder of the year until I finish my graduate degree and really hit it again to lose the remainder of the weight after the start of the new year.

Losing this weight has given me a whole new outlook on life and what I can actually accomplish when I put my mind to it. I look forward to making more changes and seeing the positive results!

Hey girl! Happy 2009! Glad to see you back from your Hiatus! Congrats on graduating! How super exciting!

I have found that calculating calorie deficits really helps. If you go to http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculat
or/ and type in your information it will give you a good estimate. What I do is take that number, add my exercise and subtract my food intake. That gives you a total deficit for the day. So the equation is:

(BMR + Cals Burned (thru exercise)) - Cals Consumed (thru food) = Cal deficit

I put it back up on my page if you need an example. Good luck and keep in touch!

Thanks for the support... although I know that it is difficult finding time for one self, the little time that it is found needs to be spent wisely... What do I do? well I try to exercise, which in turn relaxes me...

Thanks a lot :) emoticon

Hey there - how are you doing? Yeah I totally have baby fever and what to be pg now! It is nuts - I had a hard labor so I never thought I would get excited to do it all over again but the outcome is just priceless - so we will see! When do you think you and your bf will get married? Are you engaged?

I am up a little bit on my weight - not too bad though - 133.2 was last friday's weigh in - I have been snacking more lately and have just been hungrier - so I am not sure what to do - hopefully now that our weekends have slowed down now I can be a little better at the snacking - plus according to babyfit.com, I should be eating more calories b/c we are trying to conceive - so I am not too worried about it - I am already ahead of the game anyway - I was 155 when I got pg with my son, so it is okay! Anyway, good to hear from you and let me know how the upping the calories goes! I bet you will start to lose again soon! Good luck!

Sarah

Heyy girl! Great to hear from ya! I just realized i never congratulated you on your triathalon! CONGRATS! That's such an amazing accomplishment! That's wonderful that you are still keep at the workouts even after completing such a tough feat!

The bf came home from boot camp but he just left 2 weeks ago for med school. I only had about a month with him... :( BUT its our anniversary this weeknd and he's coming to see me! YAYYYY!

Right now I'm training for a team relay with 3 guys from work. ITs a marathon distnace divided by 4 runners. My leg is 6 miles, so i'm excited.

I'm also teaching Zumba 1-2x a week. Its been a total blast and i LOVE it! I just got hired at Gold's Gym as well and start another class in September.

Hope things are well with you. Have a wonderful weekend!
