Traci! Thanks so much – yet again - for stopping by my blog. You’re always so encouraging and right now I’m *whispering* bored with it all – the focus and the effort. However, I’d be a lot worse than bored if I let myself slip now so your encouragement is more than welcome. Hope you’ve stepped away from the Oreos (and the Twizlers!) – it’d make you feel so-o triumphant! Also hope your husband’s recovering well and that the worry is subsiding. Lemme know? HI Traci, How was your day today? Thanks for stopping by my page. It does feel good to be proud of yourself when you've hit some of your goals. Wishing you a crazy wonderful weekend. Dee 1395 days ago
Gaba is both an amino acid and a neurotransmitter that signals nerves to "NOT DO" or an "inhibitory" signal. A pharma company invented an analog of the amino acid and sells it as neurontin, which I do not take.
It is possible to increase GABA levels in the body directly by taking the amino acid and there is a lot of research to suggest it is safe for pets and people, but as always educate yourself and talk to your doc for dosage levels. I take 750mg before bed. Some people take L-Glutamine or N-acetyl cysteine which are precursors to Gaba production in the body. GABA is a non-essential amino acid.
Hope that helps...keep in touch about your sleep. I would love to hear how you are doing!
