TINA'S JOURNEY STARTS HERE....

Ever since I got out of the Army, I have battled with my weight. I've tried every diet and weight loss gimmick in the book...only to lose, then gain it all back and then some. Now that I'm starting to have some medical issues as a result of my weight gain, I'm going public. Maybe accountability is the key!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose at least 78 pounds, but also to FEEL WELL! For the first time in my life, I just really don't feel well, and I'm tired of it. I want to be around for my children...and grandchildren one day. I'm tired of missing out on my life.

My Program:
As of right now, I've only committed to walking 20 to 30 minutes per day. However, this site WILL motivate me to add strength training as well. My husband is a karate instructor. My ultimate goal is to join the class and become a black belt as well!

My name is Tina. I'm the proud Christian wife and mother of 2 boys. I homeschool my children, and we live in the South Georgia area. I previously proudly served my country in the Army, and it was after I left that began my weight battle.

Speaking of consistency...have you read on spark about "starting a small streak"? I highly recommend it! :D

It's SO easy to beat yourself up when you do something "inconsistent" w/ the goals you've set for yourself. It turns into a headgame...you say, "well, I already messed up, sooooooooooo..........." And then you feel like you've fallen off the wagon so-to-speak.

I aim for PROGRESS *not* perfection. It's a LIFESTYLE and NOT a diet!

Tina, thanks for the comment on my page. You can do this. Just take one day at a time and don't beat yourself up when you slip. I have been on the journey almost 2 years now, taking it slow and for once, I have not had big, big gains. I have stuck with it too. Welcome to SP and all that it offers. Yes, we are almost neighbors. It is unusual for others to know where Douglas is. lol Linda Kay
