Anxiously working on a skinny mini me!

I originally started on my journey on August 19, 2010, since then I have lost over 125 pounds (as of May, 2012). I walk three times a day and eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day.

Unlike a lot of overweight people, I did not start putting on weight until age 25. In high school my weight bounced between 105 and 120 and I actually got down to 95 while working at Kings Dominion one summer. Actually at age 25, I only weighed 112 pounds of which is what I want to get back to. ...

Unlike a lot of overweight people, I did not start putting on weight until age 25. In high school my weight bounced between 105 and 120 and I actually got down to 95 while working at Kings Dominion one summer. Actually at age 25, I only weighed 112 pounds of which is what I want to get back to. When I got married at age 27, my wedding dress was a size 8, so you can tell the weight was put on slowly until within the last 10 years.

During my journey, I've gotten a lot of my health back already. I had breathing problems when I first started and couldn't walk a half mile without being totally out of breath. Now I'm walking up to 5 miles at a time and am ready to go again afterwards. My feet hurt so bad in the beginning that I swear I was saying "ouch, ouch" with each step I took. I had a cardiac nurse stop me on one of my walks after I had lost more then 50 pounds and she had to comment that she felt sorry for me when I first started but she didn't feel sorry for me anymore because I've improved so much.

In my spare time, when not exercising, doing things around the house or looking for a job, I also crochet afghan's and hats for the homeless and for cancer patients and crochet cozies for homeless cats. I'm also learning how to spin yarn from wool on a spinning wheel.

That sounds like a great goal to have. It is one baby step at a time for me but know one says I can't do that. I'm making that a goal for down the line. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Take care,
Debbie emoticon

Hang in there. Your fitness efforts definitely will have a payoff, even if it's not what you wanted. You feel so much better when you're fit. I know. I've been both places on the spectrum. Wishing you good luck and much fortitude. Glenn
