Well, here we go again. I had a great go on SparkPeople last year and reached my goal weight. And then life, and severe depression hit and I made excuses to drift away from my exercise routine and healthy eating habits. I have since regained all of the weight I lost the last time and it has taken me a long time to buck up and commit to getting back. I thought I could do it on my own, but the truth is, I need the structure, motivational tools and community provided by spark people.

I thought I could do it on my own, but the truth is, I need the structure, motivational tools and community provided by spark people.

I am reinvigorated to achieve my goals because in the last year, while I have struggled with life, I've also made some major changes towards who I want to be in the world. I have left my 80 hour a week job and am preparing to depart for the Peace Corps in April 2011 and I want to feel healthy and strong before I depart.

My Goals:
Short term:
Rebuild an exercise routine consisting of 30-mins a day, 6 days a week.

Get back into the 150's by January 1, 2011.

Mid-term:
Lose 10 pounds by Feb. 21, 2011

Complete Couch 2 5k running program and incorporate running into routine.

Long-term:
Lose 18 pounds by mid-March 2011 and maintain weight.

Complete triathlon






My Program:
Eat balanced, healthy meals staying within my spark calorie goals.

Build sustainable 30-min/day 6 day a week exercise program.

January 2011: Do Spark People Boot Camp

Actively work on self-image and self-awareness.




Personal Information:
I live in Boise, Idaho where I am preparing to leave for the Peace Corps to do Non-profit advising in sub-Saharan Africa.

Hello there. I am the new leader for the SP Team April 26-May 2, 2009. I just wanted to mention that I am trying to reactivate this team as it has been somewhat on the sideline for a while now.

Hey, I just want to say, I LOVED your You Tube Warhawk Matt Scott post on the message boards! I hadn't seen it and it totally made my day. I've used so many of those excuses! I'm on my way to the gym _right now_.

Oh goodness, I can realate to crazy schedules!!! Where do you work at? The grea thing about this is that being healthy is a lifestyale change and part of that change is learning to make right choices in our chaos!! lol So dang hard!!! Hope the rest of your week is great and that you can get some rest!!
