Fitness Inspiration for each day - Create a fitness Goal that inspires YOU!!!

THE GOAL HAS BEEN MET!! On 5/25 we swam the 5,000 yards at 1:40 or so each w/2:00 starts!

A friend told me, "I want something for my birthday..." Her eager smile as she excitedly waited on my reaction; her birthday? It was still nine months away! What could it be? "Swim 50- 100's... at 1:45 each :) with 15 ...

"Swim 50- 100's... at 1:45 each :) with 15 seconds rest inbetween each..." I smiled and loved the idea! This is an excellent goal! So I've started preparing for this great fitness goal! I'm excited at how much more fitness I will gain with God's great help!

This is just one example of a fitness goal that brings me joy!

My Goals:
1) To love GOD, my husband and children and be a wonderful wife and mom!
2) To keep fitness a priority -- but to try to make it so that the time I use to train isn't taking away from my family.
3) To continue having fun doing fitness, improving my cardio, toning, refining and gaining strength while hopefully slendering up.
4) To exercise with my family.
5) To exercise with a group of women (and possibly with their kids) from our church for fitness and fellowship encouragement.

My Program:
Swimming 2-3 days per week

Occasional hikes, a jog, swimming & more

Incorporate this into my family life.

Hi trunorth I read your comment on my blog - mcdougall is an awesome program - it is what started me on a better way of eating! I am also following the furhman eat to live program - this is based strongly on green salads, veggies, legumes, seeds and less on the starchy vegetables. I have been sticking to about 1 serving of brown rice/potato/sweet potato/corn etc a day. When I was doing the mcdgougall program exclusively the pounds didn't really want to come off and I find if I eat pasta or to much starchy veg I gain. I know everyone is different but this works for me - I am dropping the pounds, my blood pressure is now normal and I feel amazing!! good luck on your journey!
