Jasmine and Karma in the snow
Receiving my Lifetime membership at WeightWatchers in 2002.
My "big" goal is to lose 18 pounds. That seems like a huge number to me right now, but I am just going to do it one day at a time, and one pound at a time. The encouragement and motivation on this site are fantastic.
My family consists of a husband, three growing boys, two lively dogs, and one horse. I have many hobbies, but the ones I am most passionate about are horseback riding and making gourmet chocolates. Fortunately, one of these activities burns calories, at least!
I focus on very tiny goals, 2 - 5 pounds at a time. Each new mini-goal is a meaningful milestone of some kind, usually a nice round number!
For me, tracking what I eat and how much I exercise are key to maintaining a healthy way of life. I am using the SparkPeople tracking tools, which help me stay on track and keep me motivated. Most of my exercise comes from riding my horse and walking my dogs.
I live in Canada. My life is very full and BUSY. My hobbies include reading, gardening, cooking, horseback riding, and chocolate making. I have 3 boys who are all into organized sports--especially hockey--so I do a lot of driving around cheering them on!

Hi, again! I just received the Spark Goodie you sent. Thank you! That was nice. I'm enjoying our little group so much. And it is what is helping to make "weight loss" more fun!

Hi, Trufflemaker! Every day that I log on to SparkPeople, my 2yo dd says, "I want to see the dogs!" They are your two cute dogs on your icon.

Hang in there Truff!
In my own process, I keep think of the song, "Inch by inch, Row by Row, Gonna make that garden grow!"
You are the garden you are working on!

Hey TM, thanks for the insight into the sodium - I'm going to look into that one. I've also read up on holistic liver detox treatments, but it involves drinking espom salts ??? and then drinking olive oil ??? - they say it rids your body of stones...I honestly got the heebie jeebies reading the guy's blog about it. I really don't hink that one is for me! LOL!
See you in London!
