I'm gonna make a change...for once in my life!

I'm a 35 year old mommy of 2. I'm an ovarian cancer survivor (7 years now!) and I am always behind the lens of a camera. I mostly refuse to have pictures taken of me but I am tired of hiding. I want to get healthy before its too late and I want to enjoy being in pictures with my kids. My daughter and I are planning a trip to the UK in March of 2014 and I would love to be in the greatest shape of my life.

My Goals:
I have a summer filled with family memories planned and this year I want to be in pictures with my kids. My goal is to lose 25 lbs by memorial day weekend...and 30 lbs by June 26th. I don't feel the need to be skinny, but I want to be proud to scrapbook pictures of me with my kids...

My Program:
I'm trying to eat around 1200 calories a day and exercise. Exercise has always been the hard part for me....I just don't have much energy. But energy begets energy and I'm hoping I can finally get down to business! I want to do SOMETHING that involves sweating and heart racing once a day for at least 30 minutes....

Personal Information:
I am 32 and I'm currently about 50 lbs overweight. I live in the Los Angeles area and I work in cancer research. I have two wonderful kids that call me mommy...a 1 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. They are my motivation..

You are doing awesome. I'm doing the HCG diet with my wife, who is in a similar situation to you (200 with no body shots :). We are on our second day of VLCD and the 500 calories was scary until we did it. She's excited about counting the calories and stories like your show us the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank You!

That 9 pounds was my post load weight though. really if you count what I weighed before the load days which was 158, that is only a couple of pounds. I just thought it was supposed to be 2 pounds a day the first week........but I know you're right. Because even if I keep steady at 1 pound a day that is still 14 pounds in 2 weeks.
