MAKING IT WORK

I AM 49 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT AT THE YMCA SINCE OCTOBER 2010. I AM WORKING TO MAKING A CHANGE FOR A HEALTHIER, BETTER LIFE. I AM SEEING A BIG DIFFERENCE IN MY APPEARANCE AND CLOTHES I WEAR. BUT THE SCALE IS SAYING OTHER WIse. I seem to be stuck at 88 pounds lost. I am thankful for that I feel 98.7% better than when I first started.

My Goals:
MY GOALS ARE TO EXERCISE AT LEAST 5 DAYS A WEEK AND LEARN TO EAT PROPER POTIONS. TO EAT LOTS OF VEGETABLES AND FRUIT. BUILD AND TONE MY BODY. I WANT TO LOSE 200 POUNDS WITH DIET AND EXERCISE TO AVOID GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY AND SO THAT I CAN GET MY ARTHRITIC KNEE REPLACED FOR BETTER MOBILITY.

My Program:
1. I GO TO THE YMCA 5 MORNINGS A WEEK AND SOMETIMES IN THE EVENING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 30-45 MINUTES.

2. I DRINK 8-12 CUPS OF WATER. MY GOAL IS TO DRINK 1 GALLON A DAY.

3. I TRY TO EAT 3 MEALS AND 2 SNACKS TO KEEP MY BLOOD SUGAR UP ALL DAY.

4. LOG MY MEALS AND TRACK MY EXERCISE ON SPARKPEOPLE.COM.

5. I BLOG MY CHALLENGES AND READ MEMBER BLOGS FOR INSPIRATION AND SUPPORT.

It is said that frozen is actually the best way to buy veggies--the flash freezing keeps all the vitamins in place. Canned should be fine too--just watch the sodium counts.

emoticon Love your determination! The Y has some very cool programs. I once knew a nurse that actually lived at the Y. Clorine is tough on the hair though. Nice to have another friend and I'm sure that we can get healthier together. Gloria emoticon
