I was very active in Spark People for almost a year and successfully lost 30 pounds. Then I fell away from the program and was delighted that I was able to maintain the weight loss on my own. I never truly reached my goal of 125 pounds, but I felt so good at 146 that I didn't really care, as long as I didn't start gaining the weight back.
Life has recently dealt me an emotional blow that I am afraid will set me back. My husband and I are going through separation and most likely divorce after 33 years of marriage. Since I am truly an emotional eater....I felt it was time to rejoin Spark People and seek out the support I got the first time around. During the last month I gained almost 5 pounds back and that scares me to death. I am happy to be back here and hope that some of my old friends are still around. I also hope to find many new friends while on this journey to reach my original goal and feel great about myself once more.

My Goals:
To lose an additional 20-25 pounds and get healthy and happy once again.

My Program:
I have never been a water drinker, nor am I too keen on exercise. I plan to change all that. From now on it is at least 6 glasses of water (or more) daily and 20-30 minutes of exercise. I will carefully monitor food intake and do my darndest to stay upbeat and positive while on this journey. I welcome Spark Mail and would really like a few "good buddies" to share the journey with.

Personal Information:
My name is Sandi and I will be 61 in June of 2009. I have been married for 33years and have 3 children (finally all out on their own since October). I retired from teaching three years ago after 35 years, and love spending time with my two adorable grandchildren, Nevaeh (6) and Treyse (2). I also like to cross-stitch, play the piano, read, and garden. I love to do crafts of all kinds and like to keep busy.

Other Information:
I have three sisters who can eat anything their heart desires and never gain weight . I am totally the opposite. All I have to do is SMELL food and I gain a pound! It is my hope that joining this group will be the incentive I need to reach the goals I have set for myself. If ican help someone else along the way....that's even BETTER!!!!

    HI Sandy
I think about you and Treyse as my grandson David is growing. He is in preschool at the public school. Still does not eat food...yet...only drinks cereal milk bottles..but not at school.
I haven't connected with you for awhile. I am coming up on my 2 year "health emergency" and my One Year Anniversary in Spark People.
You always brightened my day and I still think of you. Have a Great Thanksgiving .
We have 2 daughters and they will both be here with their 3 year olds. we will have a good time and I will be moderate and move more. It was just 2 years ago I was in the hospital with a blood clot in my leg. Now I am 114 pounds less and off coumaden. Hallelujah!!!!

Hey Pal...haven't touched base in ages. I've been soooo busy (like everyone else) but think of you often. I hope you are doing well. Eating & exercising for me have been awful but other areas of life are good. Talk to you soon! Carrie
