I'm going to look FABULOUS!
I'm tired of being the "fat friend". At my heaviest, I tipped the scale at nearly 300 lbs. After a major life change, I decided it was finally time to do something about my weight. I lived in constant fear of gaining the few pounds that would make me see the 300's. So I started Weight Watchers with my mother. Within a year and a half, I had lost 80 lbs! I was so close to seeing the 100's, I could TASTE it! Then the holidays came, I stopped paying attention and I ended up gaining 30 lbs back! ...
I finally got sick of being ME the way I was and I decided to DO something proactive about it! I dug out my dusty Weight Watchers stuff and decided to start following the program again. After doing that for a week, I realized I needed to actually start exercising regularly if I really wanted to see the weight come off, so I started looking into online fitness things. That is when I stumbled upon Spark People again. I had found the site the first time I had started to lose weight, but I wasn't committed to exercising at that time, and quickly forgot about SP. I was glad I found it again, as it is proving to be invaluable during this complete overhaul of my life. The third week into my overhaul, I decided it was also time to quit smoking. I had smoked for more than half my life - and it was finally time to put the cigarettes down for good! As I said, I'm committed to completely overhauling my life. Turning 30 really hit me hard. I realized I was NOT happy with the person I was becoming, firstly on the outside, which directly impacted the person I was being on the inside. Through this journey, I hope that by changing the outside, I can also change how I feel and who I am on the inside. (not that I'm a bad person, I just have low self-esteem and a defeatist attitude most of the time). So that's my story & I'm stickin' to it! on my way to losing another 70 lbs. to reach my ultimate goal!

Height: 5'9" Size: 20/22 Starting weight: 247.3 I bought a house in PA in December of 2008 and have been happy here for the most part. I have been on the weight roller coaster, having recently gained back 30 lbs of the 80 I had lost. I now have at least another 70 to lose to get to where I'll be comfortable. I got sick of being who i was and looking the way that I did, so I decided to completely OVERHAUL me and my life! We'll see what happens.
