HAVE TO FOCUS ON THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ok, so it's been some time since I've been on Sparkpeople.
In the past couple years, I have completed 3 full marathons, 5 half-marathons, a few 10ks and the 4 famous Great Aloha Run 8.15mi.
I love to run or in my case slog (slow jog). I love the feeling before, during and mainly after a good run.
I also love to do Bikram Yoga. I strongly think that yoga has helped my running and recovery period.
My friends at work think I am crazy...mad woman on a mission and ...

In the end, I am still hovering on that same spot on the scale...never getting below that 160 mark. My focus is what I see in front of me...that same husky looking girl who can run. Maybe not like the wind...but I can.
I am ready to step outside of my comfort zone and focus on the bigger picture...a new healthy me.

My Program:
I don't have a program..I am just using the free tools sparkpeople.com has provided as far as the nutrition and fitness tracker. I also joined the May-June-July Challenge: 3-month transformation which looks like what I need. Also, today was the weigh-in at our office weight lose challenge that will run from
5/11-7/02..So not only do I have support online, I also have support at work!

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Hawaii. I have a 16-year old son, Bryson and I recently got married to my husband Daniel after 12 years.

Other Information:
My other interests are reading books, listening to audiobooks and sudoku puzzles. I am a huge fan of the Twilight Saga and am currently reading the 4th book Breaking Dawn.

All the best on your upcoming marathon. We'll be in Maui in Jan for the Oceanfront Race - I'll be doing a 10km and my hubby will do the HM. I know it's on a long weekend this year so maybe we can meet.

I don't know how you do it in the humidity but good for you. That's what kills me, mind you I live in Canada so in Jan it's cold. Take care and Mahalo for adding me as a spark friend.

Thanks for the well wishes! I just finished John Bingham's book, "The Courage to Start". AMAZING read!! Made me feel a lot better about being a Slogger!
