Trish, thank you for commenting on my blog post. When I was researching info for my own diet and exercise I came to a conclusion; It seemed to me that during the 80's was when we started being bombarded with "light" foods. Fat free, reduced fat, etc., foods with extra carbs to make up for the flavor lost with removing the fat. It seemed to me that this was the time when I started seeing more people becoming fat. I noticed it in my own family. Family members that were 20-30lbs overweight jumped on the "fat free" bandwagon thinking it would make them thin. But all these years later, they're all much heavier than they started. Thanks again for the comment.
