I'm a mom, wife,& therapist who although born with a muscle disease became disabled after an injury in 1994 and gained 100lbs. I know I can get mobility with weight loss. I shrunk 20lbs by the Grace of God's (on a 25-day whole foods liquid protein fast followed by a month eating mostly vegan with the addition of green smoothies). I received new taste buds and lost my addictions/cravings. I want to protect this freedom and pray I'll never look back. I am 60, (women need 200calories less/day than our 20's) with a muscle disease which does not allow me to build muscle or burn fat, so I have to stay within a 600-700daily calorie budget in order to lose a lb. a week.

Initial Target Goal: 115lbs. for my 4'&7" frame. That will be a 90 lb weight loss. My ideal weight was always 95-100lbs. At 115 I will reevaluate if losing more will facilitate more activity/maybe being able to walk without crutches/or just be too much to lose at my age. Starting weight:205 Joined SP:177 on Oct.19,2010. June 2011:145 (-60lbs). My goals are 5lb weight loss per month, but I get sidetracked with rewarding myself with high fat meals for Christmas, Anniversaries, etc and am working on trying to give myself permission to have a day or 2 a month when I can allow myself to eat something that is not on my calorie budget and learn how to get right back on my lifestyle eating plan the next meal, or the next day. I tend to start with a "time-out" special occasion meal and eat for a week before getting back on track(well, 3 weeks at Christmas). Working on lifestyle mentality change.

It took me almost 2 yrs to gain back all but 10 lbs. of the 60 lbs that I lost. At Christmas, 2012 my husband had a health crisis and I realized that taking off and keeping the weight off was not an option, unless I want to live in a nursing home to get the help for activities of daily living. I started a medically supervised diet May 8, 2013 (after realizing I couldn't do this without help) and have taken off 52 lbs so far. I am back on track, and hope to reach my dream goal of 127 lbs. by Christmas, 2013. At 127 or 125 (if I can endure this diet that long) I will start again on Green Smoothies, and Trim Healthy Mama (Low Glycem emoticon emoticon ic Lifestyle) for losing the last 10-12 lbs and lifetime maintenance

Thank you for your comments. Not too much recovery time....drops in my eyes, no bending over for long periods, wear a guard over the eye at night for a week and no water in the eye for a week. Thats it! I am doing fine today. Have an enjoyable week-end. Keep Sparking along. June
