Hi I am a spark people veteran been a member for over 6 yrs and still trying, I had weight loss surgery back in October 2009 a gastric sleeve, initially lost 60 lbs very quickly but then i found i could eat what i liked but in smaller quantities so no loss but no gain, I am now trying once more to get my head sorted out and eat senceably thats the hardest part i never feel hungry but my head tells me i crave something, I started back on July 1st 2010 and set myself a goal to loose 28lbs by ...

Have started line dancing with hubby it's hard on me but i try.

My name is Trisha and i live in Scotland with my husband and dog.
I am a very spiritual person, i love to help others especialy in weight loss as we are all struggling at one time or another.
I have 3 daughters and 4stepdaughter's and 1 stepson i have 11 grandchildren i lost my only son back in 2000, and there is not a single day goes by that i do not miss him, but i know that with God he is no longer in pain, and i am thankful for that.

Hello Trisha,

I've been away from Spark People for a while and need to return. This seems to be the only thing to work for me. I need to track food and record it, otherwise........it's all downhill.

I noticed a couple of things about your post. One, you have a GSD? It looks like one from the photo. I have one as well. I adopted/rescued him last year. Now, he'll be 6 soon. One of his favorite things to do is walk with me and go for car rides. This brings me to the 2nd thing I noticed - your beautiful pathway for walking. I see it in your picture. You are fortunate to have such lovely roads for walking. The 3rd thing I wanted to share with you is a little trick I have found that works for me. When I crave something sweet I know I need to avoid it at all costs 100% of the time. it seems that once I get that taste in my mouth from a cookie, candy, chocolate, cake, etc.; my body will actually crave MORE! It will continue to crave it for days on end. So, I have to keep it away and not give in. Maybe that's not a big secret but it has taken me many years to learn. *Perhaps I act like a smoker with their cigarettes....once they have one, then they crave more!
Now I need to learn how to create my own page like you have. Nice page!
