My name is Mel. I'm a 40-something woman living in a Chicago suburb with my husband, daughter and son.

Other Information:
I love to read. I'm particularly drawn to fantasy, horror and mythology; however, my true love in reading resides in Italian Renaissance Literature. (Some fave authors include: Dante Alighieri, Giovanni Boccacio, Susanna Clarke, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Pahluniak, George R.R. Martin, Anne Rice, Nora Roberts, and J.K. Rowling... just to name a few.)

I enjoy watching movies - especially, film noir, foreign films, independent works and musicals (my guilty pleasure!).

I love listening to music. My musical interests are across the board -- however, my CD collection leans towards 80s music, goth & industrial, and swing & big band.

Sounds good!! We can do it. I dug out the book and marked the starting point. Max's 3rd birthday is this weekend along with a superbowl party so I might delay my start until Monday. LOL -- you understand right?

YES!! Let me find my book and read up about it. Starting Feb 1st?? We can check in daily with each other too! Good idea!!

I did LS Walk it off in 30 days FIRM yesterday in addition to walking a few miles and today I can BARELY lift my legs. No joke. I walked 2 miles during her 3 miler this morning. That is how slow I went. No pain no gain right?
