My name is Mel. I'm a 40-something woman living in a Chicago suburb with my husband, daughter and son.

Other Information:
I love to read. I'm particularly drawn to fantasy, horror and mythology; however, my true love in reading resides in Italian Renaissance Literature. (Some fave authors include: Dante Alighieri, Giovanni Boccacio, Susanna Clarke, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Pahluniak, George R.R. Martin, Anne Rice, Nora Roberts, and J.K. Rowling... just to name a few.)

I enjoy watching movies - especially, film noir, foreign films, independent works and musicals (my guilty pleasure!).

I love listening to music. My musical interests are across the board -- however, my CD collection leans towards 80s music, goth & industrial, and swing & big band.

I had an awesome time at zumba last night which meets the same day as your Pilates class!

I was reading up on the forums about you not wanting to "rush around" I hear ya. I tell my daughter we do about ONE outing a day. We spread everything out. A park day, a library day, a grandparents day....etc. Hope you find what works for you. I LOVE reading your weight loss ticker girl! It gives me hope.
