My name is Mel. I'm a 40-something woman living in a Chicago suburb with my husband, daughter and son.

Other Information:
I love to read. I'm particularly drawn to fantasy, horror and mythology; however, my true love in reading resides in Italian Renaissance Literature. (Some fave authors include: Dante Alighieri, Giovanni Boccacio, Susanna Clarke, Neil Gaiman, Chuck Pahluniak, George R.R. Martin, Anne Rice, Nora Roberts, and J.K. Rowling... just to name a few.)

I enjoy watching movies - especially, film noir, foreign films, independent works and musicals (my guilty pleasure!).

I love listening to music. My musical interests are across the board -- however, my CD collection leans towards 80s music, goth & industrial, and swing & big band.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Woke up feeling much better but I am still not sleeping. Ugh. I am interested too in what sage advice my spark buddies have! Stay tuned. I was in shock to say the least.

Good to know that you are keeping up with that. I met with Leslie Sansone this morning and can't tell you how much I missed her. Went for a 1 mile walk and can't BELIEVE how quickly you get out of shape in such a short time! No more. I had a hiccup but I am not derailed.

Hey there!! Vacation was awesome and was much needed. The yard sale was a success! We sold almost $400 worth of stuff and then donated the rest to a disabled home here in town. So glad to be rid of the excess clothes. I sold all my clothes that were too big and the clothes that were too small for Max. Between my clothes, Jules and Max/Emmitt (my nephew) I emptied 9 35 gallon tubs of clothes. How embarrassing! You can seriously roller skate in our basement!! SAFELY! LOL

How is Zumba going?? Hope your week is going well. My BFF is coming into town this weekend and am looking forward some girl time.

I'm out of zumba for this week... I twisted my ankle pretty bad yesterday and still am limping on it. I might try to do some recumbent biking though.

I'm so tired today. It's been a long day.

Hope you go to yoga tomorrow and totally kick butt! Let me know how things go.
