My Journey to Physical Fitness

I'm back on SP and hoping to reach my fitness goals. I'm 27 years young, a mother to an amazing 3-year-old girl named Grace Elyssabeth. Her daddy, Kevin and I working on our relationship and raising our daughter together. One day at a time!

Since I have been on here (last time was February 2010) I graduated with my Master's in Teaching and am now a Seventh Grade English teacher at a local middle school! I truly love my job. It is quite overwhelming this first year, but I know it will get easier and I strive each and everyday to make a difference in the lives of my students.

I haven't really worked out since March 2010 (8 months). I know, that is pitiful. I got up to about 134 this summer eating bad foods. Now I'm back down to 126. My goal weight is 115, so I'm 11 lbs away!

I just ordered the Jillian Michaels' DVD 30-Day Shred. I'm going to start slow with the doing it 5 days a week with walking 3-4 days a week. My eating has gotten a lot better. I'm craving fresh fruits and veggies now.

I may try Turbo Jam later and join a Pilates or Zumba class at a local gym to spice things up. I just ordered The Spark book. I'm all ready and set to reach my fitness goals of weight loss and increased energy!

My Goals:
I just want to lose 10 more lbs and be down to 115 lbs. More importantly, I want to make exercise a daily goal and an important part of my lifestyle. I want to teach my daughter that it is necessary to exercise and eat nutritious foods to stay healthy.

My Program:
Working out on the elliptical/walking 4-5 days a week. Also doing Pilates and other 10-Minute Solutions DVDS!

Personal Information:
I am originally from Maryland but live in West Virginia now. I am working on my master's degree to become an English teacher. I love to spend time with friends, and family, going on road trips, shopping, reading, watching movies, being active, and the outdoors. I am a devout Christian who strives to put my Savior Jesus Christ first in all that I do. Hi!! I have been MIA for years and still dealing with this weight struggle but I think I got it down mentally now!! I think I "get it" and why I have not been truly successful... I hope all is well! :)
