The first step to healthier habits

I'm single, just a smidge over 50, and recently had some health issues that have resulted in my becoming less active. I have put on 15 pounds in the last year. I can barely fit into the jeans I bought a year ago. I'm a fairly healthy eater but need to develop habits of eating even healthier (while still eating dessert!) and want to start adhering to portion control! This website was recommended to me.

My Goals:
Walk more, drink more water, find an exercise program that fits with my physical limitations. Learning portion control.

Result - shed 15 pounds and have more energy!!

My Program:
Starting to walk during lunchtime at work instead of sitting in my office and working while I eat. Measuring foods so that I am eating the correct portions. Following the suggested menus on my nutrition page.
