30 is Looking Pretty Great!

Well, I turned 30 in May and was in better shape than I had been in 10 years. I got down to 149 before our Belize trip in April, then proceeded to gain 10 pounds back this summer. YIKES! Time to turn it around again. I went from 180 at Christmas 2005 to 149 at Easter, so I'm aiming for my goal weight of 135 by Christmas, give or take a few pounds/weeks.

I am running and accomplished my first 5K run on Father's Day - total time 33:40. My goal is to continue running to bring my 5K time down below 30 minutes, then perhaps trying a longer distance.

Really - just don't want all of my hard work to go to waste! I love not being as overweight as I was!

My Goals:
To keep on keeping on with bettering myself.

My Program:
I've begun running - only 5K at a time, but it's a start. I have backed way off EVERY other aspect of my previous weight loss (180 in Jan. 06 to 149 in April 06). Since April I have done almost nothing, and subsequently gained back about 10 pounds.

Enough already! I'm going to keep running, and get back into regular cardio and weights. Oh yeah - there's the matter of what I push into my face for nourishment.... That needs to be adressed as well... *sigh*

Personal Information:
I'm from big sky country - Alberta, although my "real" home was and always will be Nova Scotia.

Other Information:
I am definitely the type of person to obsess over something like losing weight and weighing myself daily, therfore I am easily discouraged when things don't happen quickly. Need to remind myself constantly that really important changes are not necessarily immediate, rather they are worth the wait.
