Triathlon Jen

Hi there, I've already lost 30lbs and have about 15 more to go. I hope to lose it before June 2010 because I am signed up for a Half Ironman Triathlon (2km swim, 93km bike, 21km run). I am also doing a marathon in the summer. I figure any less weight on me is less weight I have to carry the long distances - which means a better time.

My Goals:
Lose another 15lbs before my Half Ironman Triathlon race.

My Program:
Trying to maintain 1400-2000cal diet depending on training days. I will be running 3-7 hours per week plus cycling and swimming.

Personal Information:
I'm 24 years old. Mommy to a beautiful black lab border collie puppy. I work part time in the school district and am going back to school full time. Along with training for my races. Busy busy.

Hey I saw a post you had on one of the boards, just seeing if you might give me some advice. I REALLY want to get started with triathlons, just a sprint or mini one to start, I can run 3+miles now and am doing some 5K's. I'm a fair swimmer but I really don't know how to perfect my strokes, etc. and I haven't been on a bike in years. Where is a good place to start? What did you use for your training schedule? Thanks so much, you have done wonderful!

Thanks for adding me as a friend, and for the compliment. I too will be trying to lose some of the excess weight for the season, I'm kind of in my winter fat storage mode emoticon right now. Congrats on going for the half Ironman...I must have the bug, because now a 1.5M swim, 50m bike and 13M run actually sound reasonable...

I'm in awe that you are training for the half ironman. Wow! I do good just to run - lol. I love to swim but riding a bike outside is iffy for me.
