T is Ready to Roll

Hello all, I have struggled with my weight since about 5th grade. That is when my family moved to another neighborhood and I was traumatized about it. I looked to food for comfort. I was the healthiest in High School and have steadily gained since then. I recently joined a health club and have been working out 3 - 4 times a week and am now at 1.5 to 2 hours each time! I think this site will help me stay motivated. Good luck to you all.

My Goals:
Short term goal - Lose 25 lbs.

Long term goal - Lose 50 lbs.

My Program:
I am working out 3 - 4 times a week, at least 1.5 - 2 hours at a time. I have always done cardio but recently incorporated weights.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Chicago, I have always lived on the South Side but in various neighborhoods thru the years.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I hope your weekend went well. I was a bit of a slacker this weekend with my workout but I spent a lot of time with my little boys.

That's funny. Last November, I was busy throwing my older sister a bachelorette party. Needless to say, her wedding and the holidays marked the beginning of my diet/nutrition plan tanking. It's been a long time coming, but I got back on the sparkwagon last month. Yesterday, I had a really good day, and I was thinking, gosh I'm ready to get out of the 170's . . . it just doesn't feel like progress to me until I see the 160's. I feel like my weight has yo-yo'd so much over the past few years. I want to get to my 30 lb. halfway mark (168 lbs) so bad. I have about 10 lbs left. I'm going to Jamaica in August and I really want to have a rock'n body in case I get to break out a swimsuit. I've never worn a two-piece, but that's all I keep thinking about . . .

My plan is walk, walk walk! lol...i have to get those 10,000 steps in. I feel a little guilty because I ate Chinese for lunch (chicken and broccoli with steamed rice) when I looked up similar things on the tracker it was a lot more calories than I thought...how can Chinese be so bad? It was vegetables..haha..oh well, just going to compensate by not eating as much the rest of the day..hope all goes well with the engagement party!
