Trying to be a Good Steward of My Health

These are some of my favorite verses. I pray they bless you.

1 Chronicles 29:11-12
Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto ...

Colossians 3:23-24
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Psalm 119:105
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

My Goals:
My short term goal for now is to keep going despite any setback. Every little accomplishment leads to a great victory in the end. My long term goal is to get rid of all of my bad habits while not developing new bad habits. Hopefully before my DD picks up too many
of them ;-)
I know if I can get a hold of one aspect in my life I can better manage the rest of it.

My Program:
I am on a 1200-1550 caloric menu plan. I have been alternating days between cardio and weights.
Almost every morning I have my devotions and journaling (really trying to make this daily). I find that I give into temptation if I have not asked earlier that morning for Jesus to help me . It is too difficult without Him. I cannot do anything in my own strength. When I do not give into what is tempting me, I get a great feeling of joy, satisfaction and relief. I am also given greater hope which gives me more strength to persevere. I give God all the glory. I can not do this alone.

Personal Information:
My name is Jenn. I am 34 and a SAHM. I have been married to my wonderful hubby for 12 yrs. We have a 4 yr old. She is a miracle. God has blessed me so much with both of them. We also have a mini longhaired dachshund named Daisy. She is only a blessing sometimes -LOL!
I absolutely love OLD Sci-Fi movies. The worse the special effects the better. I also love to paint, and anything else artistic. I also love baking - which got me into this weight mess to begin with.

Other Information:
I wasn't always so open about my faith. About 4 years ago I had a major wake-up call that shook me to the core. It was then that I realized I needed to be focused on what is eternal and not what is temporary. I became very serious about my relationship with Jesus. I am embarrassed that God had to put me through certain things to get my attention. But I will forever be grateful to Him. Unlike the wrathful, disinterested God I thought He was, He loved me enough to send His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for me on the cross so my sins past, present and future would be forgiven. When Jesus arose from the tomb conquering death, it didnít end there. He loves all of us more than we can fathom. He desires so much to be a personal part of our lives and to have a growing relationship with us. I didnít realize how interested He was about every detail of my life. He also loved me enough to correct me and set me on the right path. I am thankful for all of His provision and blessings.
