Amsterdam! My new favorite city.

Heading up to the top of the Great Wall of China outside Beijing, China. Yes we made it!

3 miles down from the top of Pikes Peak, and even worse, 3 miles back up!

Making it Happen

2013 was a great year:

I hit my goal weight (for a hot minute).
We hiked in Shenandoah National Park and on the Appalachian Trail.
We hiked in Colorado.
We hiked the Inca Trail in Peru to Macchu Picchu.
We took a river cruise down the Rhine River through The Netherlands, Germany, and France.

And that was great, but 2014 is going to be EPIC!!

I am going to set a goal of 124 pounds, for a total loss of 60 pounds.

I am going to stay active in team challenges.

I am going to set a goal of six fitness classes per week, and three half marathons in 2014.

We are going to travel west and do a lot more hiking in the Dakotas, Utah, and Colorado.

We are going to plan another Fall hiking trip -- perhaps Bhutan, or Nepal...?

Life is exciting! Every day is a gift!

Thank you for your comment. The picture is of Venice. It was a beautiful city...but my true love was Florence. Rome was great but I still love Florence more. I also LOVE to travel. I have not been to as many places as you but hopefully some day I will be able to! I saw that you did the Inca Trail...that is definitely on my to do list! I have a cousin who did it and she absolutely loved it! I think it's a great idea to have 2 of each...IPods and Fitbits! I actually have 2 Fitbit bracelets because I broke one of the inserts but I am going to have to look at getting a second IPod! Good idea! Atlanta was always a city we drove through also and we stopped to see the sites every now and then. This was the first time we actually went to stay there. It was fun. Their aquarium was unbelievable. (and I usually don't like Aquariums).

Hi Nanette emoticon

Check out this http://whole30.com/pdf-downloads/ from the Whole30 website. The grocery list download is especially helpful because it gives you the approved foods and which ones are the best. You will see almond butter listed in the Fats section as on Occasional.

The Whole30 website is a great site to find out about the program. Not sure if you have looked at it? They are the authors of the program and the book 'It Starts With Food". I think you have this book on hold at the library?

Finish that soup and join me on this!!

Haha! I'd love to have one of those fancy expensive cameras. One day... :)
In the meantime just a little point and shoot my kids gave me for my birthday 3 or 4 years ago. Just recently I discovered it can do some tricks. Had to play with the menu a bit and was amazed.
